蚂蚁过河 / Ant Crossing River

Zhang Jin uses X-ray sheets as traditional gelatin silver papers. After darkroom processing, the plants being photographed appear on the dim blue X-ray prints as though enlarged human veins or cells under high-power microscope. Through assuming an ant as the viewer, the artist provides a completely different way to observe plants. The transition of viewing plants to some extent hints at the vertical relationship between an individual and the world.
